Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, embarked on an official visit to Norway spanning from 5th to 6th June 2023. During her visit, she engaged in productive discussions with key Norwegian officials, including Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt and State Secretary Erling Rimestad. At the Norwegian Parliament, she met with members of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, led by Committee Chair Ms. Ine Eriksen Søreide.
Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar held a special meeting with Norwegian companies operating in Pakistan, including Chairman of Norhydro Robert Storbekk and CEO Rukhsar Hamid. Norhydro. During this meeting, CEO Norhydro Rukhsar expressed his commitment to addressing the energy crisis in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. He stated that Norhydro is closely coordinating with the government of Gilgit-Baltistan and striving to implement power projects in areas with the highest energy needs.
