NorHydro signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with business
associations of Skardu, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to
providing sustainable energy solutions. Under this agreement, business
representatives have pledged to become subscribers of NorHydro power plants.
This strategic partnership aims to address the persistent challenges faced by
businesses, particularly the issues of load shedding and reliance on diesel
generators.
CEO Rukhsar Hamid formally signed
the MoU, demonstrating NorHydro’s dedication to ensuring round-the-clock
electricity to businesses in Skardu. This initiative heralds an end to the
suffering caused by frequent power outages, empowering local enterprises to
operate more efficiently and sustainably.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of our local partner, the Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Program (GBRSP), reaffirming our collaborative efforts to foster economic development and prosperity in the region.
